Tourism in China for 2020 was quite a rollercoaster due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It started off strong, but then experienced a dramatic drop as the country became the initial epicenter of the virus. Major tourist sites like the Great Wall were closed and travel restrictions were imposed. Despite these challenges, China has begun to slowly recover with domestic tourism gradually picking up towards the end of the year. However, international tourism remains largely affected.
